Welcome to Longboat Key, Florida. With very few public beach accesses, this is one of the most exclusive locations along the Gulf of Mexico. The white sand and turquoise waters do exactly what they are suppose to do here – providing lucky residents with a life healing, calming energy. We were more than delighted to be asked to bring a creative and fun client’s vision to life for her beachfront home.

Grasscloth Getaway In The Master Suite

Owner and Lead Designer Kelly Kaiser preaches the importance of finding the right shade of blue for clients residing by the ocean. The color of the grass cloth wallpaper that lines the entire bedroom is perfect for the master suite. Wicker and rope light pendants; custom by Orange Moon Interiors, bring warmth to the bright white furnishings and perfectly frame the master bed. “This homeowner has a great sense of style. She just needed a designer she could collaborate with and trust to pull it all together, especially long distance. We do a lot of long distance projects here at Orange Moon.” says Kaiser.
Gorgeous glass built-ins frame each side of the oversized window that overlooks Longboat Key beach.

Ocean Inspired Design In The Master Bathroom

The ocean feeling flows into the master bathroom that features blue, green, and turqouise fan tile. The design elements are elevated by the brass hardware and floating wood vanity. Tiny details that Kaiser describes as “a lady’s things” are pretty enough to leave out on a vanity tray.

The master bathroom suite is expansive, featuring a walk in shower complete with fan tile and brass hardware. The white tile is subtle yet interesting. The shower features rectangle ceramic tile and the floor is lined with matte polygonal tile.

To Live & Dine

Open living concepts are very prevalent in Florida. Common questions we get are “how do I define the living space? How do I make it beautiful and functional?”. Space planning is just one of Orange Moon Interiors fortes. This Longboat Key living room had to be functional, fun, colorful and luxurious. A unique deep wood coffee table roots the center of the room while a custom sandy-colored sectional with a sleeper bed hidden inside, separates the living and dining room. Owner and Lead Designer Kelly Kaiser sketched up a design to add custom paneling to the existing mirrored wall. A delightful art piece of the homeowner’s collection brings your eye up making the room appear larger.

It’s no problem fitting 6-7 guests at this dining room table. We know the homeowner can’t wait to throw a dinner party utilizing this grand space with custom wicker bench and a beautiful coral inspired light fixture.

Unique Appliances & Custom Walnut Countertop Stun

We were looking forward to finally get our hands on The Cafe Line at GE for this project. The rose gold hardware gives variation to the brass hardware. “The homeowner made a great choice of appliances here” says Kaiser. “Even though we had a long wait for them with the disrupted supply chains, I’m glad she waited for the good stuff. GE is still a great quality product & the Cafe Series is beautiful. It’s just right for this look.”
Take an extra close look at this gorgeous walnut countertop. There are many wow factors in this home – but this is one of our favorites.
